“You are, after all what you think. Your emotions are the slaves to your thoughts. And you are a slave to your emotions.” – Elizabeth Gilbert, Eat, Pray, Love
This is different from what I normally post but I wanted to share one the places I’ve been wanting to go sooo badly. Lately I’ve been reading a lot, and I’ve heard so much about “Eat, Pray, Love” that I finally got around to read it and watch the movie. And if this isn’t the movie that spoke to me …I don’t know what is. I’m an emotional movie watcher, (if that’s a phrase) and cried, laughed, smiled. Literally felt like I was on this journey with her. It got me thinking about the one place I’d love to leave everything and go explore. Paris, France.
My obsession with this city is ridiculous. I’ve learned the language, (thanks to my family, school & a couple books.) little Eiffel Tower figures around my apartment. I’ve always told myself and others that I want to ride a mo-ped down the street with my basket filled with herbs, a baguette and a wheel of cheese. The people, the food, I’m jealous of anyone who has ever been or even lives there in this posh city. My imagination runs wild when thinking about this city, I can only imagine when I’m actually there.
I’m seriously considering, in the next year or two, I’ll probably be blogging from Paris for my own journey.
