Beauty Habits to quit in your 20’s

Falling asleep with a full face of makeup
After a long day, all you want is a date with your bed. Before you know it you’re passed out, and wondering the next morning when you turned into a raccoon overnight. Doing this clogs your pores making it harder for collagen to bounce back (collagen keeps your skin nice and tight), causing inflammation, making your pores larger and skin tends to age faster than usual. If washing your face at night is a lot of work, just keep some baby wipes or makeup remover wipes next to your bed. Hey, it’s better than nothing right?

Skipping SPF

The most crucial beauty habit. Make sure you’re wearing an SPF of 30+ more that blocks UVA and UVB rays. (UVA =Aging Rays, UVB= Burning Rays.) You can reduce your chance of melanoma one of the most deadly skin cancer by 50%. Plus who wants wrinkles?

Recently I watched a documentary on how sunscreen creates a black mask over your face to block UV rays from penetrating your skin.

Not drinking enough water

Water removes toxins from your body, keeping your skin up to par. Your skin will look hydrated and supple, and by drinking water everyday you are keeping your skin away from dreaded wrinkles and many other skin problems.

“Don’t forget your neck!”

Exfoliating, moisturizing and sunscreen. We always forget to go a little lower to our neck, but that ends up with consequences. Who wants to be that old lady with a beautiful face and a wrinkly neck.

Not exfoliating

Exfoliating is key to life! Lol, no but exfoliating gives your skin a nice glow. Scrubbing away dead layers of skin to reveal new skin, and keeping your skin cell turnover rate as fast as possible keeping you to look young as fresh.

Healthy Diet and Exercise

Says it all.

I hope these few tips keep you informed and gorgeous as ever! It’s better to start young, and quit these habits. I know we all want to look as flawless as Gabrielle Union, Jennifer Lopez and Jennifer Aniston do in our 40’s.
